Global Warming and Trees

Petroleum fuels: petrol, diesel, natural gas, etc. are majorly hydrocarbons and they combust to produce CO2, H2O and energy in engines, furnaces, etc following a general equation bellow.

Hydrocarbon  + Oxygen → water + carbon dioxide + energy

As seen in the reaction, the process reduces atmospheric oxygen while increasing the greenhouse gas CO2 concentration in the atmosphere.

Combustion of petrol and diesel produce 2.31 and 2.68 Kg of CO2 per liter respectively and on average, a mature 10 years old tree can absorb 21.77 Kg of CO2 per year.

Then have a look at the following table, above facts tabulated and graphed.  find your daily consumption

Use the equations in the graph to find the number of trees you need to plant for your car to be carbon neutral.

This is why
You Should Drive Tree Planting Drives if you are Car Driving or planning to do so.
